Students at Francis Bradley Middle School participated in this year’s Reflections Program, a national arts recognition program sponsored by schools’ Parent-Teacher Associations. Students submitted original works in visual arts, literature, choreography, photography, musical composition and film production inspired by this year’s theme, “Together We Can.”

Five Bradley students placed high in the school-level competition: Eighth-graders Brian Ferrell and Hailey Dechert took gold awards for visual arts; eighth-grader Rachel Cowley took gold in literature; sixth-grader Bryn Cowan won gold for dance choreography and eighth-grader Tamara Gomez took silver for literature. They won cash prizes and their entries proceed to be judged at the Mecklenburg County level of competition in early January. From there, winners continue on to the state and then national levels of competition.
