Carolina Montessori hosts peace pole re-dedication,cultural festival

Students, parents and staff at Carolina Montessori Academy are gearing up for their Annual International Cultural Festival and Peace Pole Re-dedication on April 30.

The event begins at noon as representatives from the international community and local community members will be on hand to present their native country’s culture through traditional food, clothing, arts & crafts and games. Other activities include, face painting, pony rides, storytelling, and a parade of nations by students.

A Peace Pole Re-dedication will also take place during the festival.  People and groups of all faiths internationally recognize the Peace Pole as a symbol of peace on earth.  The message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” appears on each Peace Pole in different languages on each of its four or six sides. The school is at 1524 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road.
