Presbyterian Healthcare looking for teen volunteers

HUNTERSVILLE – Presbyterian Healthcare is currently accepting applications for the 2012 Junior Volunteers summer program.

The nine-week program allows students to assist staff, visitors and patients with non-medical tasks. All applicants must be 14-years old by June 1.

Volunteers must be capable of following directions, accepting supervision, working independently and exhibiting interest and enthusiasm. They must commit to one three and a half hour shift per week, and only two absences will be allowed. No evening or weekend shifts will be available.

Applicants, along with a parent, must be interviewed by hospital staff, attend an orientation sessions and complete a hospital-provided health screening to be accepted into the program.

All students may apply by March 31 by downloading the application online at www.presbyterian.org/volunteers.
