Glee club seeks teen singers

CHARLOTTE – A glee club is forming in Mountain Island, and the creator is looking for interested singers to be a part of it.

The idea to start a glee club came when Diane Clagg was starting a teen girls concert and a neighborhood parent suggested starting a girls glee club.

“I immediately loved the idea, and thought I could combine the instruction with the group,” Clagg said.

The club will based on community service and perform at different events and elder-care facilities.

Clagg has a degree in music, piano and voice and more than 20 years of experience teaching music. She has coached singers for beauty pageants, shows and musicals. She¹s taught in New York and Boston and was part of the New England repertory company.

Those interested in joining the glee club will be interviewed before the group starts in January. It will meet weekly.
