Conyers to head up Reid Park Academy

CHARLOTTE – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools named Harrison Conyers Jr. as co-principal at Reid Park Academy, a K-8 Title I school serving about 829 students along Charlotte’s West Corridor.
Conyers will focus on middle school academics and community partnerships. Reid Park has more than 10 community and business partnerships.
Conyers has worked in education since 1999.
He also worked as an eighth-grade math teacher at Southwest Middle in Gaston County 2000-2003, an eighth-grade math teacher at Coulwood Middle in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools 2003-2004 and a ninth-grade math teacher at Hunter Huss High in Gaston County 2004-2005.
Conyers leadership experience includes serving as an assistant principal at Hunter Huss 2005-2009 and later as a principal at Warlick Academy, also in Gaston, 2009-present.
