School gets renovations, modular unit

CHARLOTTE – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education approved a pair of construction projects April 14 to support Mountain Island Lake Academy’s K-8 expansion program.
Projects are as follows:
• A 10-classroom modular unit to support the K-8 expansion program completed by December. The unit should be competed by December.
• Renovations of two classrooms into science classrooms and the repurposing of the tutor room for a new prep room. The work should be compete in August.
