A new world to discover

Museum staff and construction crews were busy putting the finishing touches on exhibits prior to Discovery Place Kids’s grand opening this Saturday, Oct. 23. The museum will open its doors for the first time at 9 a.m. Saturday, following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. The 25,000-square-foot museum offers opportunities for children birth through second grade and their caregivers to learn and have fun while exploring the theme “I Can.” Discovery Place Kids is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. For more information on the museum, visit discoveryplacekids.org.
