EnergyExplorium hosting family hunting and fishing day

HUNTERSVILLE – Duke Energy’s EnergyExplorium at McGuire Nuclear Station, 13339 Hagers Ferry Road, is inviting all families who like to hunt and fish to a day devoted those sports.

Several informal sessions on various hunting and fishing topics will be available to those attending the event Oct. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be sessions on hunting safety, boater’s safety, archery and youth fishing. Attendees will learn how to shoot an arrow, set up a tree stand and more. Kids are invited to bring their own fishing poles for some fishing.

Duke Energy is partnering with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, the N.C. Wildlife Federation, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Ten Ring Archery and the Lake Norman Power Squadron for the event.

The free event is open to everyone; however, space is limited. Lunch will be provided, but guests can pack their own lunches and enjoy the EnergyExplorium’s picnic facility.
