Irwin Tools moves jobs to Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE – Irwin Tools recently moved its customer service center and 15 jobs from Wilmington, Ohio, to its local headquarters on NorthPointe Executive Park Drive,  near Birkdale Village, the Lake Norman Regional Economic Development Corp. announced this week.

“Over the last few months, we have hired 15 people for our customer service team in Huntersville,” Lisa Dulski, Irwin’s vice president for human resources, said in a news release. The company now employs about 120 people at its Huntersville headquarters and more than 1,000 employees worldwide.

The company says the move will lead to faster problem-solving and greater collaboration with other company functions. The customer service team now located in Huntersville also supports other Newell Rubbermaid brands, including Bernzomatic, Bulldog and Shur-line.

The company’s primary customers are Home Depot, Lowe’s and Wal-Mart.
