Transit system seeks public input on transportation plan

CHARLOTTE – The Charlotte Area Transit System is soliciting input from residents for its next five-year Countywide Transit System Plan.

The plan will provide direction for the system while it implements bus service improvements in Mecklenburg County and the region.

Transportation system officials will hold a public meeting Thursday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. 4th St., in uptown Charlotte.

“CATS strives to make improvements to get you where you need to go more efficiently,” said Larry Kopf, the system’s chief operations planning officer, in a news release.
