Town hall meeting to focus on environment

CHARLOTTE – Edwin Peacock, Charlotte City Council At-Large representative, will host a town hall meeting to hear residents’ feedback on the city’s initiatives for energy efficiency and conservation and how it can help the environment in the future.

The meeting takes place Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. Fourth St.

The gathering serves as a follow up to a June 2009 town hall meeting that provided citizens with an overview of major environmental initiatives by the city, county, and energy providers in the Charlotte community.

To RSVP for the meeting, contact Kim Pearson-Brown in the Charlotte City Manager’s Office at 704-336-2180 or kpearson@charlottenc.gov.
