Walk to help homeless, honor advocate

People will gather in Charlotte on Nov. 20 for what is now known as the Chris Wolf Homeless Awareness Walk.

This is the sixth year people have walked in Charlotte to raise awareness of homelessness and funds to help those who are homeless. This is the first year, however, that the walk will bear Wolf’s name. Wolf, who founded the walk, died of a heart attack two weeks after last year’s fundraiser.

The walk starts at Crisis Assistance Ministry, 500 Spratt St., at 10:30 a.m. Find more information or register for the walk online at www.awayhome.org/.
