Blood center names new quality assurance director

Deanne Wells is the new director of quality assurance at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas.

Wells, who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, was most recently employed by Talecris Plasma Resources.

Her new role is to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements, maintain national accreditations and serve as an advocate for donors.

“Her breadth of experience and expertise are vital to this role, and integral to our blood center’s operation and growth,” said Martin Grable, Community Blood Center of the Carolinas president and CEO, in a press release.
