Local nonprofit honored by governor’s coalition

Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center, which supports victims of sexual abuse, was honored this month with the Governor’s Crime Commission Award for Crime Victims’ Services.

Pat’s Place was commended at a Dec. 3 ceremony for strong partner and community support, as well as designing and providing services to kids in need in a heavily populated urban area.

Pat’s Place works with local law enforcement and child protective services to stop child sexual abuse through family advocacy and more.
