Weatherman to speak on security, terrorism

HUNTERSVILLE—North Mecklenburg Republican Women will host Hal Weatherman as keynote speaker Dec. 14, at NorthStone Club, 15801 NorthStone Drive, Huntersville. He will speak on homeland security and terrorism.

Weatherman has served as chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick for 11 years.

As an encore to his “Connect the Dots” presentation last December, Weatherman will discuss the security issues as related to current events.

Tickets, by reservation, are $20 and can be made by e-mailing nomeckrw@gmail.com.  Registration for the public event begins at 6 p.m., and dinner starts at 6:45 p.m.

Monthly dinner meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month and are open to the public. The club is an affiliate of the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women.
