Booty booked solid in eight hours

It took 24 Hours of Booty organizers only eight hours to book all 1,200 spots in the upcoming cancer research charity bike ride.

“The outpouring of support … is a testament to our amazing riders who are all truly making a difference in the fight against cancer,” said Basil Lyberg, executive director of 24 Hours of Booty, in a press release.

The annual Myers Park-area bike ride raises money for LiveStrong, a national cancer research organization. In the past nine years, more than 7,500 riders in Charlotte have teamed up to raise more than $5 million.
