ProNet Charlotte adds programs to serve displaced professionals

CHARLOTTE – The Charlotte Mecklenburg Workforce Development Board has added additional resources to their ProNet Career Center, located in uptown Charlotte, to meet the growing demand of displaced and underemployed professionals.

The board provides training and resources for Charlotte-area youth, adults and displaced workers.  In addition to ProNet, the board coordinates programs such as on-the-job-training, incumbent worker grants, Joblink and provides strategic coordination on workforce policy issues related to local workforce planning.

Some of the new workshops include: Tax and Finance Issues Facing the Unemployed, Creating Possibilities through Innovation, How to Become a Consultan,; and Stress Management.
