Blood center expands presence across state

The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas is now the primary blood supplier to five more hospitals in North Carolina.

The south Charlotte-based center, which already serves Carolinas Healthcare System, will now supply Grace Hospital, in Morganton; Valdese Hospital, in Valdese; Frye Regional Medical Center, in Hickory; Central Carolina Hospital, in Sanford; and Stanly Regional Medical Center, in Albemarle.
