Live raptors at Mooresville library

MOORESVILLE – Carolina Raptor Center is taking its raptor stars on the road.

Bird lovers are invited to meet the center’s raptors at a free program Mooresville Public Library, 304 S. Main St., on March 10.

The meet and greet begins at 7 p.m. and will feature Hermes the Eastern Screech Owl, Dudley the Great Horned Owl and a variety of other native birds,  accompanied by their human keeper. The keeper will present a 30-minute natural history and raptor-fact live bird presentation and will stay afterward for photo opportunities and to answer questions.

No reservations are required for this free program made possible each month by the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists, a chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. Visit or call 704-877-4788 for more information.
