Workshops to focus on organizational tools

CHARLOTTE – During the months of February, Charlotte’s Community University program is offering a series of free workshops on organizational tools for community groups.
The workshops take place at the Independence Regional Library, 6000 Conference Drive, and include:

• Organizational Basics and Beyond. Understand fundamental basics and advanced components in building a strong community-based organization.
Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

• Strength in Numbers: Building Your Organization. Learn about specific projects that help increase participation in your community-based organization.
Feb. 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

• Getting Involved: Volunteer and Make a Difference. Learn the importance of volunteering at all ages and discover opportunities for neighborhood groups and individuals to get involved.
Feb. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
