Restaurants participate in Autism Awareness fair

Several restaurants across Mecklenburg County will take part in the ninth annual Autism Awareness Fair to help raise money to support children and adults living with the disorder.

On April 26, a portion of proceeds from a number of area eateries will be given to Mecklenburg County Chapter of the Autism Society of North Carolina. As well as donating money, restaurants will set up tables with information about the illness and ways to get involved.

Participating restaurants include:

• Bombay Grille – Tower Place Shopping Center
• Brixx Pizza – all five locations
• Café Monte – South Park
• Carolina Soda Shop – Park Road Shopping Center
• Charlotte Café – Arboretum and Park Road Shopping Center
• Dilworth Neighborhood Grille – E. Morehead and S. McDowell streets
• Jason’s Deli – Five Charlotte locations
• Le Peep – The Arboretum
• Matt’s Chicago Dog – Both Charlotte area locations
• McAlister’s Deli – 10 Charlotte area locations
• The Melting Pot – The Promenade and Kings Drive
• Nothing but Noodles – Stonecrest and Elizabeth Avenue
• Pinkberry – Arboretum and Phillips Place
• Pinky’s Westside Grille – 1600 W. Morehead St.
• Restaurant X – Davidson
• Rotelli Pizza & Pasta – Highway 51 and Carmel Road
