Howl-o-ween at the Carolina Raptor Center

The Carolina Raptor Center, 6000 Sample Road, held its annual Halloween “Hoot and Howl” event Oct. 29, and Mountain Island, Charlotte and Huntersville residents joined in on the “Howl-o-ween” fun. In addition to the center’s eagle- and owl-handling demonstrations, the day’s festivities included a costume contest, face painting, spider bingo, cookie decorating, owl mask-making, T-shirt tye-dying and more.
