St. Mark’s Episcopal invites new members to learn about church history

HUNTERSVILLE – St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 8600 Mount Holly-Huntersville Road, holds its Annual New Member Series beginning Jan. 15. All of the church’s new members are encouraged to attend the series to learn more about the history of the Episcopal church, the history of the church itself and its plans for the future.

The series provides new members an opportunity to meet other new members and find their place at St. Mark’s. It consists of four non-sequential classes and ends with a welcome breakfast. Those considering church membership are invited to attend as well.

Classes held:

• Jan 15: Episcopal Belief and History

• Jan. 22: Episcopal Worship

• Jan. 29: History of St. Mark’s and Campus Tour

• Feb. 5: St. Mark’s Today, Mission and Vision

• Feb. 12: Welcome Breakfast

The children of the church hold an Epiphany Pageant Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m., followed by the traditional burning of the greens. Parish Life will provide supper.
