How local restaurants fared in health inspections

The Mecklenburg and Gaston county health departments inspected the following restaurants from Feb. 25 to March 20. Critical violations for restaurants scoring below 95 also are listed.

Inspectors found raw non-frozen chicken in bags stored above a box of French fried potatoes in walk-in freezer and clean green onions stored on pan below where raw pork was handled in prep sink. Found a prep sink cleaned with sanitizer.

• Church’s Fried Chicken, 1735 W. Trade St. 95.

Inspectors observed bar sanitizer at improper concentration and several products on the cook line stored in a prep cooler at temperatures above 45 degrees.

Inspectors observed chicken patties stored inside a hot holding unit at temperatures as low as 127 degrees.
