BAYADA Home Health Care opens Simulation Training Lab

CHARLOTTE – BAYADA Home Health Care, a national home health care provider, will celebrate the grand opening of its Simulation Training Lab from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 11 at its Learning Center, 8801 J.M. Keynes Drive, Suite 240, Charlotte.

“We invite nurses, physicians, discharge case managers, and families of children and adults with complex medical needs to our open house to learn how simulation training leads to better care in the home,” said Heather Kuzara, a nurse and director of the simulation lab.

The event will feature tours of the facility, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle drawing for an iPad. Nurses are invited to attend free continuing education programs on Cultural Diversity, Stress Management, and Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

Kuzara said the facility uses state-of-the-art, high fidelity pediatric and adult mannequins to train nurses in a controlled environment to care for patients with a multitude of symptoms and to deal with emergency situations.
