25 graduate from Gaston Leadership class

The Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce recently recognized graduates of its 2013  Leadership Gaston Class.

Debbie Windley, Leadership Class of 2001, was also recognized as the recipient of the Pinnix General Contractors Leadership Gaston Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award. Windley, director of advancement for the The Schiele Museum, chaired Leadership Gaston for two years and started the Junior Leadership Gaston program and was chair of its Advisory Board for the past two years.

Formed in 1979, Leadership Gaston is a program designed to develop and enhance volunteer community leadership. The group aims to foster personal relationships among leaders and emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds, provide a forum for discussion of important issues affecting the community and expose participants to community involvement opportunities.
