The team of 11 players, along with coaches Jeff Bright, Greg Cox, Eric Brown, and Raikes and Zach Bennett, traveled to Cooperstown Dreams Park on Aug. 3-9 to compete against 104 teams from all over the U.S. and Canada.

The boys advanced to the third round of the single-elimination tournament, hitting 22 home runs throughout the week.

The boys and coaches lived in barracks away from their families all week with early mornings and 10 p.m. lights out each night. During closing ceremonies, each player and coach was inducted into the Youth Baseball Hall of Fame and received a ring to mark the occasion.

The team sold barbecue dinners, car wash tickets, magnets, Tervis tumblers and cooling neck wraps to raise money for the trip.

Most of the Storm players began their Little League baseball experience playing T-Ball for CoulOak Little League.

Storm players played in the spring league for CoulOak amongst their peers, as well as challenge baseball on the weekends and throughout the summer and fall.

Although this group represents eight schools, CoulOak Baseball has been the constant that has linked them together over the years.
