Health center breaks ground on new building

GASTONIA – Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center recently broke ground on its new building at South New Hope Road.

The new building will open for patient appointments in summer 2014.

“We are thrilled to be able to expand our services and provide patients with exceptional orthopaedic and sports medicine care in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility,” said Dr. Clay Thomason, orthopaedic surgeon at Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center. “Designed around the specific needs of our patients, this office location will offer several upgrades from our current building.”

The 29,000-square-foot building will provide patients and providers additional space for administering bone, joint and muscle care. Located adjacent to the practice’s current building, the new building will offer patients an atmosphere that is better personalized to their individual needs, with environmentally friendly features, including motion sensor lighting, expanded digital X-ray services, pain management procedure suites and physical therapy services.
