Mount Holly building gets facelift

MOUNT HOLLY – The Mount Holly Community Development Foundation awarded Margaret McDaniel a façade grant of $2,300 to help renovate the exterior at 204 E. Central Ave..

Built in 1948, the two-story building, approximately 2,320 square feet, was restored its late 1940s concept of modern simplicity. McDaniel’s husband ran a business at the location for many years.

Love Home Improvements of Mount Holly completed the renovations. The building is available for rent to a business that will add activity using the new streetscape improvements by the City of Mount Holly.

Façade grants, downtown revitalization, greenways and community events represent a small portion of the community partnership efforts of the Mount Holly Community Development Foundation.

Citizen and business members support the volunteer organization to fulfill a mission to advance the health, general welfare and prosperity of the Mount Holly area.
