Police investigate robberies at several stores

CHARLOTTE – Detectives made an arrest and are looking for two other suspects for their involvement in several armed robbery cases.

At about 3 a.m. Oct. 10, two suspects entered the 7-11 Store at 5545 Brookshire Blvd. The suspects threatened the clerk with a firearm and took property belonging to the business

A short time later, the suspects entered the 7-11 Store at 9502 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road and approached the clerk and demanded money and her cell phone.

The suspects also committed robberies at the Circle K on The Plaza Road in Charlotte, 7-11 Store on Carowinds Boulevard in York County, S.C. and the Dollar General store in Dallas.

Detectives identified Kevin Watson
McClary, 19, as one of the suspects. McClary was arrested on outstanding robbery warrants.

McClary was charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and four counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon for the Charlotte robberies.

Detectives have obtained warrants for the arrest of 18-year-olds Miguel Angel Zelaya and Nahum Maldonado Rea, in connection with these robbery cases. Both should be considered armed and dangerous.
