Titans’ baseball bounces back

After losing its last six games, the Hopewell baseball team desperately needed a win entering its April 29 game against rival North Meck. To end the skid, Hopewell coach Chet Greeson sent ace Hunter Conley to the mound, and the senior delivered with a 6-0 complete-game victory.

“We’ve been struggling for two weeks – it was hard going through it,” said Greeson. “Hunter pitched a heck of a ball game.”

Lead-off hitter Cameron Underwood led the way with a triple and a two-run homer. Joe Bertone added a solo home run in the sixth inning.
